Effective Galvanizing

A controlled hot dip process gives "UNIK" Brand Pipe Fittings their galvanic coating of highest purity Zinc. Zinc coating is therefore consistent, clean, and continuous on both internal and external unmachined surfaces without black spots or acid spots. A thicker zinc coating is used in "UNIK" Brand Pipe Fittings to enhance corrosion resistance in abnormal weather conditions, exceeding the Indian Standard.

Chamfering

For easy entry of pipe and proper thread engagement, "UNIK" brand pipe fittings are chamfered slightly at each thread opening.

Precision Threading

UNIK Brand Pipe Fittings are threaded after galvanizing to avoid dredging and maintain a clear thread. We thread all outlets simultaneously on automatic threading machines with HSS ground taps to ensure perfect thread alignment at the right angle, ensuring that "UNIK" Brand Pipe Fittings have threads that match the theoretically correct profile. Dimensions are kept within tolerance limits, thus ensuring close contact with pipe and eliminating leakage hazards. They are free from defects, including thin threads and broken threads.

Specifications

1) Material: Blackheart malleable cast iron according to the IS : 14329-1995 grade BM-300.
2) Threads: Threaded according to the IS : 554-1999, parallel female and taper male threads.
3) Finish: Galvanized finish tested in line with provisions in IS : 4759-1996.

Test And Working Pressure

UNIK Pipe Fittings are leakage tested at an internal air pressure of 7.5kgf/cm² and an internal hydraulic pressure of 20kgf/cm². The maximum working pressure is 14kgf/cm² for water and 11kgf/cm2 at ambient temperature for air, oil and stream (saturated) gas.
